I am in that phase of life when there are
no more dress rehearsals. Like many of my
friends who are in their 60’s, I am not in
retirement at all. I’ve started this new venture
with a focus on capturing
joyous moments.

My life is largely spent on the
Connecticut shore, where my
husband John and I love to walk our
golden on the beautiful, rocky, shoreline..

We have been restoring a historic
home, vintage 1878, since 2008. We moved
in in 2012 after moving from Yale, where
we were resident fellows. It is a labor of love
and sometimes madness!

We are also are avid sailors. Sailing is
a pursuit that my husband introduced me
to when we met several years ago. We sail
our boat from Stonington, CT, and sleep on
it most summer weekends. I often joke that
sailing is like fancy camping. It is a poetic,
rigorous, peaceful, and life-altering endeavor.

Gardening is my other passion, and
I view a flower bed as blank palette to
“paint” with plants. I love to have my hands
in the ground and make something beautiful
from nothing but dirt.

I love my family; cooking and
dining together is a joy. My daughter,
Alex helped me conceive of this idea
during the planning of her wedding
and continues to use her marketing
expertise to contribute. My daughter
in law, Lauren, is a publicist, and is
also a wonderful advisor.

And then there is Beau....
